Student Activities Specialist

Job Description:
I work with the Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s), Bulldog Connect,  event registrations, event contracts, and risk management. I also work closely with the Finance Division of Student Government and process Student Activity Fund grants.

Start Date: I have been working with Activities at FSU since 1991. Started at Ferris in 1983. Has worked in the Automotive Department, Dining Services, and Optometry (now called the University Eye Center).

I work with students and alumni to explore career options, understand workforce trends, and engage in activities to enhance employability skills for internship and full time employment. I also foster relationships with federal, state, and local organizations to promote current and future vacancies. Overseeing recruitment activities, my goal is to align Ferris State job seekers with the greatest number of employment or graduate school options available, while helping students and alumni make informed decisions about their future.

Assist Student Veterans with their transition from military service to life as a college student. Facilitate the transition by helping Student Veterans secure education benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Also connect Student Veterans with local resources. Currently serving in the National Guard.

CLACS Assistant

Job Description:
I work at the front desk, so when you come into the CLACS office it is my smiling face that will greet you. Also, I oversee all of the lobby activities. I work to make the CLACS main area a safe place for students to come and hang out in whether they are studying or just relaxing with friends. Throughout the semesters I partner closely with the coordinators to help them plan events. For the most part though you will see me at the front desk.
