The HVACR Summer Academy is intended for students which have either just graduated from high school or are about to enter their senior year and have an interest in a possible career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
Ferris State University’s HVACR program is the nation’s leader in both associate and bachelor's HVACR degrees where graduate have high job placement rates with jobs in all 50 states.
Campers will be exploring elements of piping, electrical circuits and motors, gas heating equipment, basic refrigeration, airflow measurement, heat pumps, and electronic controls. Campers will be given the opportunity to participate in a mini SKILLS Test to demonstrate their knowledge of these topics at the end of the week and potentially earn a scholarship to the Ferris HVACR program for their freshmen year.
The HVACR department at Ferris State University is offering the opportunity to apply for a registration scholarship. Students must fill out the application posted below to qualify. Staff will review the application and notify you within one week of submission if you have received the scholarship. Once you have been notified that you are a scholarship recipient you may register at the discounted price! Scholarships are limited; the application form is available here.
