Table of Contents

Your instructor has the option of using either the Table of Contents format, or the first page of content as the opening page to a content module. If the Table of Contents is selected, green arrows are displayed next to each topic heading. By clicking on the green arrow, the content page titles will be displayed.

 

 

Navigation

When a content page is open an action menu is displayed with navigation icons, including the table of contents, previous, next, first page, and refresh the page. Other links may be displayed alongside the action menu icons depending on which features your instructor has chosen to add to the content module. The following example includes the “glossary” and “take notes” features.

Resume Course

A student may pickup where they left off when reviewing the material in a content module, simply by selecting the “Resume Course” link in the WebCT tool bar.

Notes

When the instructor has enabled the “Take Notes” feature for the content module, students may click on the “Take Notes” link in the action menu. By selecting the “add” button students may keep their own notes for any of the content modules in a course.

Glossary

Your instructor may have added a glossary to the content pages to assist you in defining terminology. By clicking on the “Glossary” link in the content page action menu, you may search terms by the letter they begin with, or list all of the terms related to the pages.
