Password Changes
New Ferris Computing ID Password Requirements and Expiration
Students, faculty, and staff need to have a complex Ferris Computing ID password. When you change your password, it must meet the criteria below:
  • Is between 8 and 30 chararcters long
  • Contains at least one uppercase letter, one lower case letter and one number
  • Does not include any special characters ($ &^+, for example)
  • Does not match one of last five passwords you’ve used
Your password will expire every 90 days. The good news there is a channel in MyFSU that will notify you when your password is set to expire. 
We understand that this may be an inconvenience for you, but we all need to work together to our data, identities, and records.
