Lotus Notes:

Lotus Notes is an email System that contains a web browser, notebook and also contains a calendar/resource reservation client. This can be used as an IMAP and POP email client.

Spy Sweeper:

Spy Sweeper is proprietary software sold by Webroot Software which detects and removes spyware from your computer. Spy Sweeper does this by looking at the files on your hard drive, objeccts in your memory, Windows registry along with cookies. Once it finds spyware it will permanently get rid of them, thus speeding up your computer.

Ad-Aware:

Ad-Aware is an anti-spyware program that was developed by Lavasoft which will detect and remove Adware. It will also detect trojans, malware, parasites and tracking components.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

VPN gives extremely secure connections between private networks linked through the Internet. It allows remote computers to act as though they were on the same secure, local network.

Symantec Anti-Virus:

Symantec Anti-Virus is a virus protection program distributed by Symantec offering effective protection features, including infected file quarantine, online virus protection updates, and an automatic scheduler. Symantec Anti-Virus is designed to start running as soon as your computer's operating system starts. It runs in the background, checking all vulnerable files for possible infection by programs called viruses and worms. When it detects an infected file, it notifies you and manages the infection according to your preferences.

Respondus:

Respondus 3.5 allows instructors to import publisher's question banks into WebCT & Ferris Connect, for online delivery or the classroom. Version 3.5 allows for MS Word files to easily attach images to questions for use in quizzes.

Study Mate:

Study Mate creates flash=based activities and games for use online or CD-ROM. Import questions to create flash cards, glossaries, or interactive games which can also be used in Ferris Connect.

Adobe Acrobat Reader:

Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat Reader) allows the viewing and printing of PDF files. Acrobat and Reader are major components of the Adobe Engagement Platform, and are widely used as a way to present information with a fixed layout similar to a paper publication.

Spybot Search & Destroy

Spybot Search & Destroy (Spybot S&D) is a popular malware, spyware and adware removal program. Like most malware scanners, Spybot S&D scans the computer's hard disk and/or RAM for malicious software. Once it finds these threats it will properly dispose of them.
