  1. On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start and then click Control Panel.



  2. In the Control Panel, select Get started with Windows, under System and Maintenance.


  3. Then select Show more details.



  4. A dialog box opens, displaying the version of MS Windows you are running. To close the window, click the red 'X'.



  5. If you see: "64-bit Operating System" then you have the 64-bit Edition of Windows Vista. To close the window, click the red 'X'.
