All campus telephones have direct inward dialed telephone numbers. For persons calling you, inform them your telephone number is 231 + 591 + 4 digit extension number. Ferris switch board hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Campus and Big Rapids information is also available by dialing your residence hall desk telephone extension number.

Calling Card, Collect, Person to Person:... Dial 16 + 7 digit auth code + 87 + 0 + area code +7 digit number. At the tone, key in your calling card number. Or wait for operator to respond.

Calling Card, International:		Dial 16 + 7 digit auth code + 87 + 0 + country code + city code + telephone number
For 800 Service:		Dial 16 + 7 digit auth code + 87 + 800 + 7 digit number

Cable 7 (Channel 22):

To place an advertisement on Cable 7, you must contact the Student Activities Desk in the Rankin Center to obtain approval. Upon approval, they will provide the necessary information to place an advertisement.

Connections:

In order to access cable television in your room you will need the following:

A coaxial jumper cable with "F" connectors, long enough to reach your TV.
A cable ready TV that will tune cable channels.

If your television is not cable ready, the tuner on a cable ready VCR connected between the TV and the wall outlet, can be used to change channels.

Repair Service:

For assistance, Dial "2901" to report a problem and select the appropriate menu option to log your problem.

A trouble ticket will be completed and a technician will arrange to fix the problem.You may fill out an electronic repair request form.
