Many different setting are available to maximize printing. Many times there are problems printing large files, printing from power point, online documents and WebCT, and from PDF files (in Adobe).

Directions for Printing Large Documents

1. Large documents cannot be printed all at once due to limited bandwidth size. To print the document in many increments, start by clicking on File then Print.





2. Select the number of pages to print at one time. It is generally a good idea to print five or less pages at a time. Type in the first set in the pages box. Make sure that the line Pages is selected.





3. Press OK. See FLITE Printing for printing to color or black and white.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the document is Power Point and the document is still too large, try printing in only black and white by:

1. Large documents cannot be printed all at once due to limited bandwidth size. To print the document in many increments, start by clicking on File then Print.





2. Under Color/greyscale select Pure Black and White.

To print multiple slides on one page, notes, or outline view:

1. Start by clicking on File then Print.





2. Under Print What select Handouts from the drop down menu. The number of slides per page can be set by selecting the number in the Slides per Page drop down menu.




IMPORTANT NOTE: Notes page and outline view can also be selected from the Print What drop down menu.


3. Press OK. See FLITE Printing for printing to color or black and white.

1. Some online documents only print the frames. This can be avoided by Right Clicking in the middle of the page to be printed and clicking on Print.




NOTE: WebCT is a site that commonly has this problem and requires this type of printing.

1. Open the PDF file to be printed. Once the document is open, click the Print button.
