FERRIS-CORNERSTONE DOUBLEHEADER ON APRIL 24TH CANCELLED
Bulldogs Final Home Games Will Now Be This Sunday
Ferris State University's scheduled non-conference doubleheader against Cornerstone slated for Tuesday, April 24, at the FSU Varsity Softball Field in Big Rapids has been cancelled and will not be made up this season.
The cancellation of the regular-season home finale was necessary due to recent weather this month, which has forced changes in Cornerstone's conference schedule.
The Bulldogs are next slated to host Saginaw Valley State in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill this Saturday, April 21, at the FSU Softball Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m. (EDT).
With the cancellation of the Cornerstone games, the Bulldogs' regular-season home finale will now be Sunday, April 22, as FSU entertains Northwood for a league doubleheader in Big Rapids. Opening pitch for the first game will be at 1 p.m. (EDT).
Sunday's doubleheader will also represent Ferris' annual Senior Day as the Bulldogs will honor seniors Laura Crower (Midland) and Amber Bergman (Howard City/Tri-County) prior to their final home contests.
Ferris State is presently 21-10-0 overall and 7-3-0 in conference action this season as the Bulldogs have won 18 of their last 22 contests to date.
