Senior Amanda Opbroek continues to move up among FSU's career pitching leaders in victories and strikeouts.
Junior first baseman Nicki Merchant (Wayland) has a current five-game hitting streak while posting a .429 batting average (six of 14) during that period. Redshirt freshman outfielder Sadie Duerloo (Allegan) has also registered a current five-game hit string and is hitting .400 (six of 15) in the span.

Senior pitcher Amanda Opbroek (Sanford/Sanford-Meridian) is six strikeouts away from moving into a second-place tie with Mary Gnatkowski (1982-85) and Amy Kilbourn (1992-95) among the school's all-time leaders. She has recorded 246 career strikeouts in 57 career appearances. Opbroek, who has compiled a career 22-26 mark in the pitching circle, is one win shy of tying Jennie Kerr (195-96) for eighth place on Ferris' career pitching win leaders chart.

Freshman shortstop Lindsay Riskovitch (Reese) batted a team-high .600 in the Bulldogs' two-game series at Grand Valley State (4/1). She went three-of-five at the plate with a double and two runs scored.

Junior third baseman Dana Peuler's (Wyoming/Rogers) 12 RBIs in 21 games this season ties a personal career best which was originally set a season ago in 44 contests.

Amanda Opbroek and Nicki Merchant lead the Bulldogs in multiple hit games this season with four apiece Dana Peuler has a team-leading four multiple RBI game performances to date, including a pair of four RBI single-game performances against Pfeiffer (3/1) and Charleston, W. Va. (3/2), respectively earlier this campaign.

Nicki Merchant, who has posted 20 career doubles in 108 contests, is one shy of moving into a three-way tie with Becky VanderBee (1994-97) and Marianne Gepfrey (1989-92) for 11th place among the team's all-time doubles leaders list.

Freshman outfielder Jessica Jaroniewski (Millington) has hit safely in 11 of 18 games played in this season and is batting .278 (five-of-18) to go along with a pair of RBIs and two runs scored in her last five outings.
