Freshman left fielder Jessica Jaroniewski is hitting a team-high .375 in the Bulldogs' last 11 contests to date.
Sophomore outfielder Jessie Wright (Sand Lake/Tri-County) is batting .357 in her last 10 outings with 10 base hits in 28 at bats. In her initial 14 games this season, Wright hit .256 with 10 hits in 39 official plate appearances. She has presently registered a .299 batting average (20-67) in 24 contests this spring after hitting .226 (7-31) in 31 encounters a season ago.

Junior first baseman Nicki Merchant (Wayland) belted her team-leading seventh home run of this season at Hillsdale (4/18). Merchant presently ranks fourth among FSU's all-time single-season home run leaders and is one away of tying Jody Gifford (1997) for third place. Her career nine roundtrippers is two shy from moving into a second-place tie with Anne Bentley (1997-00) on the program's career home runs list.

In the Bulldogs' last 13 contests, freshman outfielder Jessica Jaroniewski (Millington) has recorded a team-best .375 batting average (9-24) in 11 games. She batted .245 (13-53) in her previous 18 outings this campaign. Jaroniewski has notched at least one base hit in 17 of 24 games in which she has registered an official at bat.

Senior pitcher-designated player Amanda Opbroek (Sanford/Sanford-Meridian) is three doubles away from moving into a four-way tie with Jaymee Kent (1999-00), Nadine Crowl (1997-00) and Jennifer Colvin (1999-02) for fifth place on Ferris' all-time doubles leaders chart. Opbroek has compiled 24 career two-base hits in 142 contests.

Nicki Merchant is one RBI shy of tying Sandy Wagner (1987-90) for 14th place among the program's all-time RBI leaders and is three base hits away from tying Staci Leyko's (1994-97) 15th-place 116 career hit total.

FSU's top three RBI leaders this season, Merchant along with junior third baseman Dana Peuler (Wyoming/Rogers) and sophomore second baseman Navreet Gill (Brampton, Ontario/Mayfield Secondary) have accounted for 43.6% (48-110) of the team's total runs batted in output. Merchant has totaled a team-high and personal career-best 19 RBIs while Peuler and Gill have garnered 17 and 12 RBIs, respectively.

Sophomore outfielder/pitcher Stefanie Keenan (Alameda, Calif.) is batting .310 with nine hits in 29 at bats this campaign in 25 games. Last spring in 42 contests, she posted a .250 batting average with eight base hits in 32 at bats.
