DAVE CENCER JOINS BULLDOG HOCKEY STAFF

Will Serve As An Administrative Assistant and Video Coordinator

Dave Cencer is the newest addition to the Ferris State University men's ice hockey coaching staff and will serve as an administrative assistant within the program as announced by 14th year head coach Bob Daniels.

Cencer, a native of Big Rapids, Mich., will also assume video coordinator duties. In his new position, Cencer will be responsible for all video breakdown using the new state-of-the-art digital computer-editing system which includes live breakdown during all games. He will also be involved in game preparation, scouting, and assisting with administrative duties.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Dave's knowledge of hockey join our staff," said Daniels. "His expertise in computer editing of digital video on our staff is invaluable. Moreover, Dave's enthusiasm for the position and work ethic will prove to be a bonus to our program."

Cencer is no stranger to Ferris State Hockey having spent the previous two seasons (2003-04 and 2004-05) doing video work for the program on a voluntary basis. He also worked at the Ferris State Hockey Skills Center this past summer and is active as a coach in the Big Rapids Area Junior Hockey Association (BRAJHA).

Cencer's previous hockey-related experience included working in the sports information department at Northern Michigan University, conducting statistical work at three NCAA Division I Hockey Regionals, interning within the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, and assisting with coaching at North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Texarkana Junior A Tryout Camp.

Cencer received a degree in Communications Arts from Franciscan University (Ohio) in 2003 and also studied at Northern Michigan from 1999-01. He is a 1999 graduate of Big Rapids (Mich.) High School and a current resident of Big Rapids.
