FSN DETROIT TO TELEVISE UPCOMING FERRIS STATE HOCKEY GAME
Bulldogs' CCHA Contest At Michigan State On February 6 To Be Shown
|Todd Pococke and the Ferris State Bulldogs will be make their FSN Detroit debut this season on Feb. 6 at Michigan State.
The 2008-09 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team will be highlighted by FSN Detroit on Friday, Feb. 6, when the Bulldogs square off against the Michigan State Spartans at MSU's Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich.
The puck will drop for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) home-and-home series opener at 7:35 p.m. (EST).
Ferris State's appearance on FSN Detroit will represent the only one during the 2008-09 regular season on the particular regional network. FSN Detroit Plus will televise first (March 6) and second-round (March 13) playoff contests from campus sites this season while FSN Detroit showcases the matchups at the 2009 CCHA Championships (March 20-21) at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.
The CCHA contest at Michigan State will be available to viewers on Charter Communications on channel 33, Dish Network on channel 430, and DirecTV on channel 663.
FSN Detroit is presently celebrating its 12th season televising CCHA hockey during the 2008-09 campaign. Telecasts of CCHA games are part of the more than 350 live local events presented each year by FSN Detroit that reach more than 3.2 million cable and satellite households throughout Michigan and portions of Northwest Ohio and Northern Indiana.
Ken Daniels, Matt Shepard and Fred Pletsch will share announcing duties in the FSN broadcast booth during this current season.
FSN Detroit will be showing Ferris State for the fourth consecutive year after the Bulldogs' CCHA Playoff First-Round outing versus Western Michigan last season (March 7) was televised live from FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
CCHA All-Access, a half-hour weekly show returns for its third season on FSN Detroit. CCHA All-Access, which debuted on Jan. 23, will be aired on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. (EST) and again on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. (EST) for 10 straight week through the conclusion of the 2008-09 CCHA campaign. Ferris State will be showcased on an upcoming episode. Michael Kosta is back for his second season as the show's host.
Ferris State, which was idle this past weekend (Jan. 23-24), returns to action this weekend (Jan. 30-31) as the Bulldogs host Nebraska-Omaha in a two-game CCHA series at the Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids. Both games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (EST) start times and tickets can be purchased by contacting the Ferris State Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888.
