INCOMING FERRIS STATE GOALTENDER RATED AMONG NATION'S BEST
Pat Nagle Brings Impressive Credentials Between The Posts
Freshman goaltender Pat Nagle (Bloomfield, Mich.) of the 2007-08 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team has been selected fourth among the top 10 incoming collegiate goaltenders according to Inside College Hockey.com's (INCH) 2007 Rankings.
Inside College Hockey, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary during the 2007-08 season, compiled its 2007 Recruiting Rankings with extensive input from college and junior coaches, as well as professional scouts. Participants were asked to evaluate recruits based on their projected impact at the college level, not on their professional hockey prospects.
Nagle was listed fourth on the list behind Bemidji State's Matt Dalton, Alex Kangas of Minnesota, and Colorado College's Richard Bachman.

The 6-2, 169-pound Nagle spent the 2006-07 season playing for the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) St. Louis (Mo.) Bandits, who were crowned league champions by virtue of winning the Robertson Cup Championship. The 2006-07 NAHL Rookie of the Year compiled a 24-8-4 record to go with a 2.28 goals-against average (81 goals allowed) and a .920 saves percentage (932 total saves) in 2,136 minutes of playing time during his 36 appearances for the Bandits, who are coached by Jon Cooper.
Nagle, who earned a spot on the 2006-07 All-NAHL Second Team, was named to the 2007 NAHL All-Tournament Team. Nagle's goals-against average this past season was second best among the final NAHL statistical leaders while his saves percentage tied for fifth best. His lone shutout of the 2006-07 campaign came in 2-0 win at Springfield (1/12) in which he notched a complete-game 24-saves performance. Nagle was honored as the NAHL's South Division Player of the Week a season ago on two occasions -- Nov. 6 and Jan. 15. In the midget ranks, he played an instrumental role in leading Belle Tire to consecutive championship titles (2004-05 and 2005-06).
Nagle is the third individual currently playing for the Bulldogs to receive such recognition. Junior goaltender Mitch O'Keefe (Almonte, Ontario) was rated eighth by Inside College Hockey in its 2005 rookie netminder rankings while junior Chris Zarb (Waterford) landed 11th on the top 15 incoming defensemen chart in 2005.
