FERRIS ANNOUNCES 2006-07 HOCKEY GAMES DATE/TIME CHANGES
Bulldogs To Skate Against Michigan State Four Times In 2006-07 Season
|Senior defenseman Jeremy Scherlinck and the Bulldogs will now play at Michigan State Nov. 7 and then again at MSU on Feb. 9 in a regionally televised game.
The November road date for the 2006-07 Ferris State University men's ice hockey game versus Michigan State has been changed from the originally-scheduled date.
The Bulldogs, who were to skate against the Spartans on Thursday, Nov. 9, will now play on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at MSU's Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich. Opening faceoff for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) contest is slated for 7:05 p.m. (EDT).
In addition, the starting time for the Friday, Feb. 9, league encounter at Michigan State have been switched from 7:05 p.m. (EST) to 7:35 p.m. (EST) in order to accomodate FSN Detroit televising the contest live. FSN Detroit will also be making a return appearance to FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena for the second consecutive season on Tuesday, Feb. 13, with Michigan State serving as the opposition in a 7:35 p.m. (EST) CCHA matchup. The game's start time was previously set for 7:05 p.m. (EST).
Ferris State, which registered a 17-15-8 overall record along with a sixth-place tying 10-11-7 mark in the CCHA for the 2005-06 season, will officially open the 2006-07 campaign with a two-game home non-league series (Oct. 6-7) against Union (N.Y.). Both outings will be held at 7:05 p.m. (EDT) in the Ewigleben Ice Arena at Big Rapids, Mich.
Hockey reserved single-game tickets will go on sale Monday, Sept. 18, and will be $12 (adult), $8 (K-12) and $5 (FSU students) for all games with the excpetion of the four premier contests against Michigan and Michigan State. The premier game tickets, which will be $16 each, will go on sale Saturday, Oct. 14, following the second period of that evening's non-league game against Mercyhurst. Two different Four for $44 ticket packages, which include tickets to four games (including one premier game), also will be sold starting Sept. 18. Four different games have also been designated as family nights and include four tickets to the game, four soft drinks and two popcorns all for only $32.
