FSU TAKES SEVENTH AT MICHIGAN WOLVERINE INVITATIONAL

Bulldogs Conclude The 2003 Fall Campaign

Sophomore Elena Robles tied for 17th place to earn Ferris State's highest individual finish.
The Ferris State women's golf team carded a three-round score of 1,040 to place seventh of nine teams at the Michigan Wolverine Invitational (Oct. 4-5) in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The tournament, which represented FSU's final one of the 2003 fall season, was played on the par 72, 5,927-yard U-M Golf Course.

Host Michigan captured first-place tourney honors for the second time in the last years with a 943 score (+43) while James Madison finished second with a 968-stroke total (+104). The Bulldogs produced rounds of 349, 348 and 343 for a 1,040 (+176) team total.

Sophomore Elena Robles shot a 251 (76-86-89-251, +35) to pace Ferris as she tied with two other individuals for 17th place. Freshman Heidi Aittama fired a 254 score (91-82-81-254, +38) to tie for 26th place. Finishing in 33rd place was sophomore Casey McKinnon, who totaled a 259 (88-88-83-259, +43) while senior Ellie Saladin's 277 score (94-93-90-277, +61) was good for 46th place.

Freshman Ashley Wolfe posted a 282 score (95-92-95-282, +66) to garner 48th place while junior Rachael Peterson rounded out the scoring for FSU with a 53rd-place 302 total (97-102-103-302, +86).
