The Ferris State men's golf team finished runner up at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Tuesday (Oct. 7) in Erie, Pa., as the Bulldogs lost a playoff to Wayne State.

Both teams completed regulation play with three-round 884 scores (+20) each, which forced a five-man one-hole playoff on the par 72, 6,634-yard Lake Shore Country Club course with all scores counting. Ferris State, the 17-time GLIAC Champions, totaled 25 strokes in the one-hole playoff while Wayne State registered two less strokes as the Warriors won their first-ever conference title. Grand Valley State wound up in third place (891, +27) while Findlay and Saginaw Valley State placed fourth (900, +36) and fifth (907, +43), respectively.
