BULLDOG RADIO NEW HOME FOR FERRIS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Campus Station To Carry All GLIAC Games Both Locally & Worldwide

Bulldog Radio Logo The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced a new partnership with Bulldog Radio, which will carry FSU women's basketball action during the 2006-07 campaign.

Bulldog Radio, which is a registered student organization on the FSU campus, will air live all 18 of Ferris State's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball contests with the additional possibility of postseason action this campaign. Games can be heard live locally on television Channel 21 both via on-campus cable and Charter Communications in Mecosta County. A live 24-hour webcast of the signal is also available at www.bulldogradio.org.

Additionally, fans wishing to access the live internet broadcast of the GLIAC contests will also be able to visit the official FSU Athletics Website and click on the Bulldog Athletics Webcast icon at www.ferris.edu/sports.

"We're excited about this new parternership with Bulldog Radio and the opportunity to provide our fans with coverage of women's basketball," said FSU Athletics Event, Facilities and Marketing Manager Mike Haggerty. "We hope to establish a great working relationsip with the station and enhance our coverage both locally and worldwide."

Ferris State Assistant Athletics Communications Director Rob Bentley will call the action for all road contests for the fifth consecutive year while Bulldog Radio President/General Manager Jeremy Dreslinski will be the play-by-play voice for home games.

"We hope fans will catch all the action of Bulldog women's basketball on the Voice of the Bulldogs, Bulldog Radio," Dreslinski said. "This is a tremendous opportunity for our station to expand its coverage."

Bulldog Radio broadcasts in on-campus residence halls via campus cable and on Channel 21 for all Charter Communications Cable TV customers in the Big Rapids area. The station also broadcasts online 24 hours a day, including some limited summer broadcasting. Bulldog Radio's sister station, FSU Info 530, broadcasts 24-hours a day on 530 AM within a one-mile radius of campus while providing information on the Ferris State campus and operation.

Bulldog Radio webcasting streams are active to approximately 200 simultaneous users running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The streams are available in several different formats including Windows Media Player, RealPlayer WinAmp media programs.

The first live broadcast of FSU women's basketball will be Thursday, Nov. 30, as the Bulldogs hit the road for their 2006-07 GLIAC opener against the Northwood Timberwolves in Midland, Mich. Tipoff from the Bennett Sports Center is set for a 6 p.m. (EST) start with pregame coverage slated to begin at approximately 5:55 p.m. (EST).

Note: Ferris State University men's basketball conference games will continue to be aired live by local radio station News Talk 1460 AM WBRN and selected contests will also be available on the internet at www.ferris.edu/sports.
