“Without question, the two national awards the Ferris marketing and promotions department received at this year’s NACMA Convention are examples of a total team effort,” said Kegler. “Without the assistance of several other departments on campus, this type of recognition would never have been possible. Ferris Athletics would like to personally thank Alumni Relations, Student Leadership and Activities, Entertainment Unlimited, Finance Division of Student Government, Public Safety, Catering and Dining Services, Physical Plant, and employees of the ticket office for their involvement with these events. It was an honor to work with each department this past year to increase attendance at our athletic events and to promote Ferris pride amongst our alumni, students, and the community.”

The winners were announced during the NACMA’s 14th Annual Convention, which was held June 15-18 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 18 categories with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness.
