2007-08 FERRIS STATE BASKETBALL POSTER EARNS NATIONAL ACCLAIM
FSU Receives A Silver Award In NACMA's Best Promotional/Schedule Poster Category
The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has awarded Ferris State University Athletics Department a silver award for the Bulldogs' 2007-08 men's and women's basketball schedule poster.
Ferris State was presented with the honor at the NACMA Awards program, which was held during the NACMA's 17th Annual Convention from June 9-12 in Dallas, Texas.
The FSU Athletics Department garnered second place Group III honors in the promotional/schedule poster category. Northwest Missouri State University attained gold accolades while Wayne State (Mich.) University claimed bronze recognition. 
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 18 categories which each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. A total of 1,300 entries were received for the 2007-08 athletics season.
Contributors to the poster were Rob Bentley and Joe Gorby of the University's Athletics Communications Office along with Bill Bitzinger and Matt Yeoman of FSU Photographic Services. The poster was submitted by Larisa Draves, the promotions/marketing coordinator for Bulldog Athletics.
NACMA is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities; enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics; and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletics marketing administrators. 
NACDA, which administers NACMA, is presently in its 42nd year of existance and serves as the professional and educational association for more than 6,100 college athletics directors, associates, assistants and conference comissioners at more than 1,600 institutions throughout the United States , Mexico and Canada. Through its series of management seminars, clinics and workshops and publication of the bi-monthly magazine Athletics Administration, NACDA offers educational opportunities to its members. More than 2,000 athletics administrators annually attend the NACDA Convention. NACDA administers 10 professional associations for the seperate business units that report directly to the athletics director. Additionally, the Association operates the Sports Academy Directors’ Cup program, which honors the all-sports champion in each of the NCAA Divisions – I, II, III and the NAIA, for a total of four trophies.
