September Honorees
 | Kristie Smilanich - Women's Soccer Junior, Midfielder Kalamazoo, Mich./Christian Posted a team-high 14 goals along with three assists and 31 total points. Earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors (Sept. 5). Had two hat trick performances and one game-winning goal during the month as Ferris opened the year with a 6-5 overall record. Tied a then-school record with four goals, all in the second half, of FSU's 7-5 home win over Wheeling Jesuit (Sept. 3). Her 14 goals during the month was only a single goal shy of tying the school single-season record of 15 goals in a year, which she has since eclipsed. Presently listed second among GLIAC's overall leaders in both points and goals.

 | Jake Visser - Football Sophomore, Defensive Tackle Coppersville, Mich. Registered a season-high nine tackles in the Bulldogs' first two games - at Kentucky State (Sept. 2) and at Mercyhurst (Sept. 9). Registered four pass sacks for minus 24 yards at Mercyhurst. Totaled eight stops in win over nationally-ranked Saginaw Valley State (Sept. 16) and recovered a fumble to seal the victory. Compiled seven tackles at Hillsdale (Sept. 23), including five solo stops. Finished the month with 36 tackles (second on team) with 22 solos and 6.0 sacks for negative 35 yards as Ferris posted a 4-1 overall record.
