February 2008 Honorees

Rachel Folcik - Women's Basketball Senior Powers/Carney-Nadeau Averaged a team-high 21.4 points per game along with 6.2 rebounds while playing five February outings. She helped the team to a 3-2 mark in that stretch before missing the final two games of the month due to injury. The 6-1 Folcik was the only Bulldog player to average in double-figure scoring over the course of the month. She scored 20 points or more in three of the five games, including 32 points and eight rebounds in a home win over nationally-ranked Michigan Tech (Feb. 9). She shot 51.4% (37-72) from the floor and 73.2% (30-41) at the free throw stripe.

Blair Riley - Hockey Sophomore Kamloops, British Columbia Compiled a team-high nine points with four goals and five assists in nine outings. Recorded at least a point in six contests, including a season and career-high tying three points on a goal and two assists in a home win over nationally second-ranked Miami (2/15). Tallied a lamplighter in three consecutive games (2/8-15). Netted the game-tying goal in a 2-2 overtime tie at nationally-ranked Notre Dame (2/9). Posted two points on a goal and an assist at nationally top-ranked Michigan (2/29). Racked up six points (3-3=6) in a four-game span (2/2-15). Received RBC Financial Group CCHA Player of the Month special mention. Ferris State generated a 4-3-2 record in the month.
