Bulldog Of The Month Award Winners

Information on each of this month's honorees is included below. The Bulldog of the Month Award is presently on a monthly basis to a deserving Ferris State University male and female student-athlete based upon performances during the given period. Nominations are submitted by the Athletics Communications Office to the Athletics Director, who in turn selects the honorees based upon individual and team accomplishments. The awards are sponsored by Ken's Sports and Trophy Center in Big Rapids.

May 2008 Honorees

Alison Meyer - Women's Golf Junior Duluth, Minn./Central Averaged a squad-best 76.71 strokes (537 total strokes) in seven rounds for the month. Meyer led Ferris State to a fourth-place national finish at the 2008 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships (May 13-16) by carding a four-round 300-stroke total to tie for seventh-place honors and earn National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division II Women's College Golf All-America Honorable Mention recognition. The 2007-08 All-GLIAC First-Team pick placed tied for sixth at the NCAA-II East Regional (May 5-7) after producing a 237 score in the 54-hole tourney.

Eric Lilleboe - Men's Golf Sophomore Okemos/Lansing Catholic Central Lilleboe recorded a team-leading 72.00 stroke average (216 total strokes) in three rounds for the month. He led the Bulldogs at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Super Regional (May 5-7) with a second-place three-round 216 score as Ferris placed third among the eight participants. Lilleboe, a 2007-08 All-GLIAC First-Team selection, was tabbed as the 2007-08 GLIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Year and also was named FSU's Most Valuable Player for the 2007-08 campaign.
