BIG RAPIDS – This week, Ferris remains home for two more games as it will host an improving Wayne State team on Thursday followed by a Northwood group that is one of the best in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Bulldogs host Wayne (a program on the rise and one that has good recruits coming in for next year) at 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 and then will welcome Northwood (a program ahead of Wayne in its rise to the top of the league) at 1 p.m. on Jan. 24.
Ferris’ long homestand got off to a tough start, last weekend, as the Bulldogs ended it with a 1-2 record that included a victory over Tiffin, but bracketed by tough losses against Grand Valley State and Ashland.
Over the years, Ferris has played well against Wayne State and Northwood. That will be put to the test, however, as the Bulldogs have struggled this season with a 4-10 overall record and 2-8 in the GLIAC.
