BIG RAPIDS – Although Ferris’ season has been tough to this point, the upcoming stretch is jammed with opportunities to reverse things.

The Bulldogs, on Monday, begin a five-game homestand as Grand Valley State comes to Big Rapids for a 6 p.m. contest in Jim Wink Arena. From there, Ferris hosts Tiffin on Thursday at 6 p.m., Ashland on Saturday at 12 p.m., Wayne State on Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. and Northwood on Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.

This homestand will be a tough one as GVSU is hot entering Monday’s game, Tiffin and Ashland already have earned wins this season over the Bulldogs, Wayne is an up-and-coming program and Northwood is one of the top teams in the GLIAC. So, while playing at home means opportunity, it’s still just that: opportunity.

The Bulldogs must seize the moment with these critical home games – albeit home contests against quality opponents.

The homestand is especially important because late January and early February will be brutally tough. Ferris travels to the Upper Peninsula to face Northern Michigan (Jan. 29) and Michigan Tech (Jan. 31) and travels to Hillsdale (Feb. 5) and Findlay (Feb. 7).
