BIG RAPIDS – Since dropping back-to-back five-set home losses to Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech, at home, the Ferris volleyball team has been tough to handle.

The Bulldogs extended their winning streak to six matches with victories over Lake Superior State, Saginaw Valley State, Hillsdale, Findlay and this past weekend over Ashland and Tiffin in Ohio.

Ferris needs to continue its strong play in the upcoming Asics GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament (Oct. 17-18) in Indianapolis, Ind. These are critical regional matches that could strengthen the Bulldogs post-season credentials should they continue to perform at a high level during the balance of their conference matches.

Even with the rough stretch the Bulldogs had, earlier in the season, the team is still a threat for post-season play with this current winning streak.

Following the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament, the Bulldogs have an important three-match homestand against Grand Valley State, Lake Superior and Saginaw Valley before heading to the U.P. for matches against NMU and Tech to finish the regular season.

These are huge matches for Ferris (13-7 overall and 7-4 in the GLIAC) to keep its momentum alive.
