BIG RAPIDS – Two tough, tough losses this weekend at home might make this coming weekend’s road trip well-timed for Ferris State University’s volleyball team.

The Bulldogs dropped weekend home matches to Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech, both by 3-2 scores. With the two losses Ferris has come up on the short end in six of its last seven matches to date. The only win in the stretch was a 3-2 win in Detroit against Wayne State on Sept. 13.

This coming weekend, Ferris is in the Upper Peninsula on Friday night to face Lake Superior State in Sault Ste. Marie on Sept. 26. Then, on Saturday (Sept. 27), the Bulldogs travel back down the bridge to make a stop in University Center for a 5 p.m. match against Saginaw Valley State.

Ferris could desperately use a couple of wins this weekend and hopefully the team can enjoy a positive bonding experience on the road as the players work to get things back on track in one of the nation’s toughest Division II volleyball conferences.
