BIG RAPIDS – This is a huge four-match stretch over a nine-day period for Ferris State University’s women’s soccer team.

The stretch begins (Oct. 10) with a road match at Ashland. From there, Ferris is home to begin a three-match Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference homestand that includes contests against Northern Michigan (Oct. 12), Tiffin (Oct. 17) and Findlay (Oct. 19). Entering Friday, the Bulldogs were in fourth place in the GLIAC at 3-3-1 – just ahead of 3-4 NMU.

First, however, Ferris would goes for a season sweep of Ashland, a team the Bulldogs defeated, 2-1, earlier this fall in Big Rapids (Sept. 19). Ferris will go for a sweep of NMU, a team Ferris topped 1-0 in Marquette (Sept. 21). The Bulldogs will attempt to avenge a tough 4-0 road loss to Tiffin (Sept. 26) and seek a win in the rematch after tying Findlay (Sept. 28), 2-2, earlier in the season on the road.

Currently, the Bulldogs are 4-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the GLIAC. The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-1 home win over Northwood (Oct. 5). Tammy Unsworth was a big component of that win as she was credited with a hat trick thanks to scoring her second, third and fourth goals of the season. Bri Borgman added the fourth goal, her third of the year, as part of Ferris’ win.
