BLOG 1: Congrats to Valley for a big-time effort in UP

BIG RAPIDS – We know the strong history of the women’s golf team, at Ferris State University, but don’t forget about our guys.

Ferris’ men’s team had a strong individual performance from junior Kurt Valley, a native of Bay City, who earned runner-up honors for medalist at the Northern Michigan Invitational last weekend at Marquette Country Club, in Marquette, in the Upper Peninsula. Valley, who was an honorable mention 2007-08 All-GLIAC selection, shot 208 for the three-round event and finished three strokes behind medalist Justin Hueber, of the University of Indianapolis.

Ferris returns to competition next week as it heads to Indiana to take part in the Indianapolis Invitational in Camby, Ind.
