BIG RAPIDS – The Muskegon Heights High School boys’ basketball program has produced some great teams with some very talented athletes over the years.

Over the years, the Bulldogs have signed a number of players from Heights (including Willie Burrel, Lou Williams, Julius Vines and others). This coming year, Ferris head coach Bill Sall will welcome another former Tiger star joining his roster as Ricarri Stimage, a cat-quick 5-foot-9 point guard, has committed. Stimage averaged 14.2 points, 8.1 assists and 2.4 steals during his senior year for Muskegon Heights.

In recent years, Ferris has had success with quick point guard play led by the likes of Darien Gay and Dontae Molden. Those two players have given opposing defenses fits at times. Some teams have a quick guard or two, but Ferris’ ability to put two quick point guards on the floor, at one time, forced opposing coaches to change their game plan a little bit to be able to match with the speed and quickness.

The Bulldogs hope Stimage fits that type of guard Ferris has had success with the last few seasons.

Stimage was coached, during his prep career at Muskegon Heights, by Ferris alum and former Bulldog point guard Keith Guy.
