BLOG 49: Congrats to Coach Schlump for getting the Muskegon C.C. job
By Sandy Gholston
BIG RAPIDS – Dave Schlump, who had been a valued member of Ferris State University’s men’s basketball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for a number of years, is getting an opportunity to become a head coach again.
Schlump, a member of the Ferris staff for the last five seasons, now is head men’s basketball coach at Muskegon Community College – a program that has a solid tradition with a long history of good players going on to excel at four-year institutions.
This job is a great move for Schlump to get an opportunity to become a head coach at the college level and with a program that sits in a prep basketball hotbed – Muskegon.
The intensity that Schlump brings to the sport will be missed at Bulldog games, but will be a nice addition to the basketball tradition at MCC.
Good luck to Coach Schlump.
