Changes Announced For Cornerstone Classic

Bulldog Basketball Due to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region VIII Volleyball Tournament being held at Cornerstone University this weekend, two changes have been announced for the Cornerstone Raymond James Men's Basketball Classic scheduled for this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 21-22) in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Both of Friday's (Nov. 21) games will now take place at Byron Center High School, which is located on 84th Street. The Ferris State men’s basketball team is slated to face St. Xavier (Ill.) in the tournament opener at 6 p.m. (EST) while host Cornerstone battles Michigan-Dearborn in an 8 p.m. tilt.

In addition, Saturday’s (Nov. 22) consolation and championship games have been moved to 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. (EST), respectively. Both of Saturday's games will be held in the Bernice Hansen Athletics Center at Cornerstone University.

Byron Center High School can be reached by following U.S.-131 South from Grand Rapids and taking the 84th Street exit to Byron Center West. The high school is located approximately two-three miles from the highway.

The Bernice Hansen Athletics Center is located on the campus of Cornerstone University at 1001 East Beltline Avenue NE off of I-96.

Ferris State enters the tournament with an 0-2 mark following Monday night's (Nov. 17) 73-58 setback to NCAA Division I Central Michgian in CMU's Rose Arena at Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
