The 113th Michigan Optometric Association Annual Meeting was held at Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge in July. One MCO student and two MCO faculty members were honored for their accomplishments at this meeting.

Emily Schafer received the Student of the Year Award. MOA Past-President and MCO faculty member, Dr. Mark Swan, OD, MEd, FAAO, received the Distinguished Service Award for 2008-09. Dr. John Pole, OD MS, received the Optometric Educator of the Year Award.
