The American Optometric Association (AOA), the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), and the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) have entered into a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the formation and organization of the American Board of Optometry (ABO) which will establish and implement a process for board certification of optometrists. 

Congratulations to MCO 2008 graduate, Dr. Mary Phillips who was appointed by the AOSA Executive Council as the student association's representative on the ABO Board of Directors.
