The Ice Breaker Picnic was held on Wednesday, September 2, in Hemlock Park. All faculty, staff and students were invited to welcome the new first year class.

The Grill Chefs were Jamie Brady, Randy Vance, Dean Luplow and Nancy Peterson-Klein. Linda Littke prepared the baked beans, sliced onions, lettuce and tomatoes the night before the event. Liz Tremblay, Don Rademacher, Carla Gilbertson (AOSA) and Brian McDowell (OSG) purchased and delivered the food to the park as well as cleaned up after the picnic. Colleen Olson and Marsha McDaniels also did a lot of behind-the -scenes work to help welcome the first year students.

A water balloon toss and a volleyball game were the highlighted events. The faculty volleyball team was once again victorious over the student team. Along with other orientation events that included a ropes course, road rally and luncheon a wonderful welcome was given to the first year students.
