The Reference and Instructional Services (RIS) Department
serves the Ferris State University community by providing assistance with all levels of general and research-related
information needs.
The Oval Information Desk is staffed during the following hours while classes are in session:
Sunday: 1 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
The hours are the same during Summer sessions, except on Fridays when Reference service only extends to 5 p.m. Reference service is provided in person, by phone (231-591-3602), by email, and by chat.
