FLITE encourages library users whenever possible to reserve seminar rooms and instructional studios ahead of time by using the online room reservation forms. We understand, however, that individuals or groups may need to use rooms in FLITE on evenings or weekends without having made a reservation. Rooms used without a prior reservation are available "as is," (i.e., additional equipment may not be requested).
Seminar Rooms
Seminar Rooms 133, 135, 214, and 304 are available to Ferris-affiliated faculty, staff and students "upon request" if the room is not in use. To use a seminar room without a reservation, ask at the Check-out Desk. The Check-out Desk staff will make the necessary arrangements for you to use the room. When finished with the room, please lock the door and return the key to the Check-out Desk to avoid a key replacement fee.
Instructional Studios
Instructional Studios 110 and 112 are available to Ferris-affiliated faculty and staff "upon request" if the room is not in use. Please note that 110 and 112 are also available for information commons overflow. To use an instructional studio without a reservation, please see the staff at the Reference Desk (South Service Desk). The Reference staff will make the necessary arrangements for you to use the room. Once arrangements have been made, you can obtain a key to the room from the Check-out Desk. When finished with the room, please lock the door and return the key to the Check-out Desk to avoid a key replacement fee.
