Michicard
Ferris Library for Information, Technology and Education (FLITE) is part of the MichiCard system, a voluntary state-wide system which entitles anyone with a MichiCard library card from their home library to borrow print materials from any participating MichiCard library.
As an academic library, we are allowed to issue MichiCard status only to our FSU currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff member. Validation at Ferris is required in order for us to issue a MichiCard or the sticker on a Ferris I.D. Registration is required at each MichiCard library for record purposes and patron must abide by the policies and procedures for the lending library.
FSU students, including off campus students, and faculty may get MichiCards. They will receive MichiCards by mail. Instructors of off-campus classes may distribute MichiCards and bring applications to FLITE. FLITE will extend library borrowing privileges to anyone who has a MichiCard.
