FLITE Groundbreaking Ceremony

Larry Martin, Library Archivist Larry Martin joined Ferris on September 26, 1960. At that time the library occupied only the third floor of the West Building. In the years that followed, the library took over many other offices until the current facility, the Timme Library, was built in 1967. Future plans to build an addition never materialized. Consequently, Larry had trouble really believing a new building would ever be constructed. However, as we gather around during the groundbreaking ceremony, his confidence of a new building is restored.

"I believe the building is really going to happen. We are preparing to take FLITE into the next millennium and it should be an interesting trip."
