and earth and clay
Our minds are fixed but open-eyed
We dream beyond this simple day.
With lofty thoughts
that drift away
We think of greatness and of pride
On sand and rock and earth and clay.
Toward the timeless
and things that stay
We feel the urge, the step, the stride
We dream beyond this simple day.
Telling all, our
words relay
A sense of power, true and tried
On sand and rock and earth and clay.
A jewel will rise
and come what may
The old is over and none can hide
We dream beyond this simple day.
Today we triumph
in every way
From stone to stone our path is wide
