As Producer/Director for Media Production, Steve Cox produces educational video and audio, oversees distance learning/teleconferencing scheduling and Ferris Cable 7 scheduling/ playback. Steve supervises from 8-10 students who provide over 800 classroom video shoots per year.
Steve is involved with promotional work for individual academic and nonacademic FSU departments. Steve provides production work for various area businesses along with the campus community.
His duties for distance learning include maintaining the DL classroom equipment and schedule, as well as providing training and guidance to DL faculty members.
Steve has participated as a member of the Commencement Committee for over 11 years. As a member of the International Television Association (ITVA), he is involved with the annual judging of the ITVA Golden Reel Awards.
In addition to his duties with Media Production, Steve has served as part-time faculty for the Television Production Department for five years, teaching Audio Production and Remote Video Production.
