This site would have been possible without the assistance of several people. Many thanks to: Christina Collins, Emily Tobin and Nicole Vanderlaan for providing transcriptions of Ferris writings. Thanks also to Karen Blanzy of Media Production for the creation of the graphic on the homepage, and to her students for scanning photographs.
During the website redesign, Chelsea Mitchell converted all of the writings pages.
About this Site
This site was created as an electronic resource to support the curriculum objective of FSUS 100: "For students to know and understand the mission of Woodbridge N. Ferris and his mission as educator, statesman, and humanitarian thereby promoting an appreciation for and understanding of the uniqueness of Ferris State University."
Created in June 2004, this site remains a work in progress. As a result of a Ferris Foundation Exceptional Merit Grant awarded in May 2006, additional resources from the State Archives of Michigan and the Bentley Historical Library were added to the site.
This site does not contain all the Woodbridge N. Ferris resources available in the University Archives at Ferris or at the locations mentioned above. If anyone has additional resources they would like to see from the Ferris State University Archives, they should contact University Archivist Melinda McMartin Isler
A redesign of the site structure occured in August 2008 as part of a general redesign of the FLITE website.
