Using RefWorks with Gale Cengage Databases
The database that you have selected is a Gale Cengage database. Not all Gale Cengage databases use the same interface. Databases are divided here based on the different interface and export/import options. Click the group number associated with your database to jump to the appriopriate section.

Gale Cengage GROUP 1 databases
GROUP 1 databases have an export option for RefWorks. To perform an export, select the citations you wish to export and look for the "How to Cite" link.

The "Generate a Citation" page will open. Find the second gray box "Export to third party software." Choose Refworks. Click Export.

When you click on Export, the RefWorks log-on screen will automatically open if you're not already logged on. Simply log-on to your account and you will be notified when your citations are imported. Select View Last Imported Folder to work with the newly imported citations

Gale Cengage GROUP 2 databases
GROUP 2 databases do not have an export option, these database require you to enter your citation manually. Click here to view a detailed explaination for entering references manually.
Gale Cengage GROUP 3 databases
GROUP 3 databases do not have a direct export option. You must export the citation as text and import the text into your Refworks account.
Mark the citations you wish to export and click view marked records. Choose the email delivery and fill in your email address.

Your email text should include the citation with alphanumeric tags. Select the tags starting with the first "A" tag and all the way to the last "Z" tag, copy this selection.

Paste the selection into the "Import data from the following text" box, and click Import. Be sure to always check the citations for accuracy!
