As a participant in a state-wide arrangement initiated by AccessMichigan, FLITE is able to offer access to approximately 12,000 eBook titles from the netLibrary.com Web site. Many of these eBook titles have been incorporated into the FLITE Online Catalog. Please note that in order to "check-out" eBooks from netLibrary, it is necessary to "Create an Account" by establishing a username and password while using a computer in FLITE or other participating libraries.

There are two methods of using netLibrary titles:

• Browsing: Logging in is not necessary to browse. The user has access to the title until 15 minutes of inactivity have elapsed.

• Check-Out: The check-out period is six hours of use for titles purchased by AccessMichigan and 24 hours for those in the public domain. A title is automatically returned or checked-in after the check-out period elapses.

Please note that after April 2, 2004, netLibrary will only be accessible in current Web browsers (IE 5.5+ and Netscape 6.2+).
