Toys

Manipulatives (we call them toys) are located at the FLITE Checkout/Reserve Desk. You will need to supply us with your choice of box number (this is how they are shelved), and your limit is 5 boxes at one time. Should you wish to retrieve a particular item, search for that box number using the following steps;

Select the Catalog tab on the FLITE homepage and click on the "Advanced Search: Catalog" button.

From the FerrisNet Online Catalog page, select the Call # tab...

Then, choose Local Call #...

and type in TOYS...

A list will come up with all our toys listed, and you can click on any title to see both a picture of the item and find out which number the box has been assigned.

If you need to find a particular item that relates to a category (we call those "subject headings"), click on the limit this search button,

and type in the subject this item is listed under, example "music", or "puppets", and then click on Limit/sort items retrieved using above data.

This will provide you a shorter list of just those items classified under a particular subject.

Select your material using the pictures for reference (the numbers shown in each picture indicates the number of items in the box), and write down the box numbers so we can retrieve them for you.
