Here are some books to consider when looking for information on various associations that hold conventions. Once you have identified the association, you can then use the Internet to find out more information about the conference, including contact information.

Ultimate Trade Show Directory
Billed as the "Ultimate Event Resource",
this site allows you to search a myriad of ways to find convention and trade
show information. In most instances, contact information is provided to the
sponsoring organization. Be aware there are numerous ads in this site.
Biz Trade Shows
The largest
directory of trade fairs and business events brings you an exhaustive coverage
of exhibitions, trade shows & expositions, conferences and seminars for
various industries worldwide. You can browse through the most comprehensive
information on individual trade events worldwide, along with their event
profile, organizer, exhibitor and visitor profile, venues and dates to plan your
participation much in advance. Not as easy to search as the TSNN

of the industry, still does provide some news on key players in the trade show
industry

FLITE also provides a chat reference service where you can chat with a reference librarian if you have questions about library research. Hours are very generous as we staff from 9 - 10 Monday - Thursday and Friday from 10 - 9. Please don't hesitate to use this service if you get stuck.
