Many books are available from FLITE. Try searching the Online Catalog, for the subject: advertising. You might also want to try other subject that relate to "advertising", such as marketing or publicity. You can also perform a keyword search as well for even more hits.
Finding Articles/Company Information
Use some of the subscription databases available from the library's web site to locate articles on advertising or search the companies you are interested in and use the subdivisions to find articles on a particular aspect of the company (such as advertising). The following are the most relevant.
ABI/Inform
One of the first totally electronic database, ABI is the premier
business database. Coverage in this database starts in 1971 and it
contains over 1,300 journals covering all areas of business including
advertising and marketing. Many articles are availalbe full-text and it
also provides citation assistance.
Datamonitor
This brand new database provides extensive research on companies and industries from around the world. Additional information is provided on countries and the economies in that country.
Business and Company Resource Center
A combination of sources makes this a good place to stop for company
information and articles on companies. Most of the articles are
available full-text. The interface is fairly easy to use.
MRI Plus
MRI Plus is a library of key magazine planning data resources providing a
link between the planner and publisher. The Mediamark reporter which is
also available, provides access to summary tables of key audience and
product usage data from a national probability sample of 27,000
households. You MUST use your Ferris e-mail account to register for this service.

Other Assistance
We have also made quick links to Style Guides , which you can access from the library home page. Guides include the APA style manual with examples. These guides are in PDF format.
We also provide a chat reference service where you can chat with a reference librarian if you have questions about library research. Hours are very generous as we staff from 9 - 10 Monday - Thursday and Friday from 10 - 9.
