Finding Articles on Business and Technology Topics
To find journal and magazine articles on a particular topic, use one or more of the databases available on the FLITE Web site. These databases provide indexing to thousands of journal titles.
ABI/INFORM
ABI INFORM combines business and industry journals with international and scholarly content. Many important titles are available in full text.
Applied Science and Technology Abstracts
Applied Science and Technology Abstracts provides abstracts from 757 titles, and broadly covers science and technology.
DieselNet
DieselNet, the only information service exclusively devoted to engines and emissions, is the internet forum for the exchange of technical and business information on engines, emissions, emission control, and all related issues which, hopefully, will contribute to the development of the clean diesel engine of the future.
Suggestions to retrieve better/more results:
- Search topic as both a keyword and subject
- Combine terms with AND or OR
- Set date ranges limit to a specific time
- Use quotes for phrases

Gale's Business and Company Resource Center and the "Business" tab of Lexis Nexis Academic Universe provide access to extensive information about companies and industries.

Finding Automotive and General Information
Alldata Pro
Alldata Pro is an online database of automotive repair information. Coverage is from 1982 models to the present. Alldata also includes recent technical service bulletins from manufacturers and an extensive Technician's Reference section. Please note that Alldata can only be accessed from the automotive building and from FLITE.
Chilton Library
Searchable by make, model, and year of a specific vehicle, the Chilton Library includes "exclusive photographs, diagnostics, step-by-step repair procedures, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance schedules, wiring diagrams, recalls and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for automobiles and light trucks."
General Onefile
A very large full-text database with over 50 million articles covering a myriad of subjects, General OneFile indexes both newspapers and journals. Coverage is from 1980 to present. A few journals, especially older dates, give only selective full-text.
