Finding Articles/Databases
The FLITE business databases should be your most help in researching your assigned topic. These two will probably be the most useful to you.
General Business File
Selected full-text is available in General BusinessFile from 1980-present for the following
material types: newspaper and journal articles, trade publication articles, broker research reports,
and company directory listings. Many aspects of business are covered including
accounting, advertising, industry analysis, management, and marketing. When using
RefWorks, General Business File must
be imported as text files using your email address. Click
here
for instructions.
ABI/INFORM Global
One of the first totally electronic databases, ABI is the premier
business database. Coverage in this database starts in 1971
and it contains over 1,300 journals covering all areas of
business including advertising and marketing. Many articles
are available full-text. This database also provides citation assistance. ABI links directly to RefWorks
as a ProQuest
database when used with
RefWorks.
Style Guides
We have also made quick links to Style Guides, which you can access from the library home page. Guides include the APA, MLA, and Chicago style manual with examples. These guides are in PDF format.
RefWorks
RefWorks is an online research management tool that allows users to create personal bibliographic databases and use them for a variety of research activities. References are quickly and easily imported from text files or online databases and records can be formatted in hundreds of output styles from APA, MLA, Chicago etc. Login from the RefWorks Tutorial link on the Reference and Instruction pages and follow this FLITE tutorial on how to use RefWorks.
