GOP Urging Witherspoon to Quit Group: Republicans Want Committeeman Off Conservative Citizens Council

If South Carolina Republican National Committeeman Buddy Witherspoon doesn't resign from the Council of Conservative Citizens, the state GOP should denounce the organization and call on him to step down immediately, some party leaders say.  Failing that, they add, the GOP should vote to oust the Lexington County party activist at next year's state convention should he seek re-election to another four-year term on the Republican National Committee.
